 ​     Lillie Marlene was built in 1941. The name was chosen as a reflection of our German heritage. The song, popular during World War I and World War II-the lamplight at the curb was a “must” for a property named Lillie Marlene.
     Only three blocks from the bustling Main Street district, Lillie Marlene is a perfect place to explore Fredericksburg and the Texas Hill Country. 
Lillie Marlene is truly an endeavor of the heart fill with warm precious memories of family, good times, and in the German and Czech tradition, good food!
     At Lillie Marlene, Elaine and her daughter-in-law, Emily make a conscious effort to accommodate and make guests comfortable that suffer from allergies and sensitivities to certain allergens. They do not allow pets or smoking. They do not use any chlorine-based cleaners or cleaners that contain pine oil. They use only unscented laundry products. You will not find feathers or goose down and the bed pillows are synthetic filled. Lillie Marlene is equipped with an electrostatic filter on the AC/CH system.


      The living room has an elegant, yet comfortable, sofa placed to enjoy the Flat Screen TV, DVD player, and electric fireplace. The furnishings are a mix of family heirlooms, antique shop treasures and pieces gathered from friends and family. The antique Singer sewing machine belonged to your former owner's grandmother. Soft green, pastels and pristine white woodwork provide a calming environment reminiscent of an earlier time. The tall ornate hutch houses a number of books and CDs for your enjoyment.
